About The Auxilium Society CIC
The Auxilium Story
You’re likely here because you want to help make a difference in the world. To invest in a brighter future and support those in need of a leg up. The thing is, there are so many people in need who get overlooked. They aren’t deemed ‘needy’ enough, and even if they do fit the criteria, help isn’t always forthcoming or easy to access. One problem is that money can only be used once with a typical support model, so it’s essential to be highly selective about where it goes.
This is why Auxilium exists. To help anyone who needs a leg up but in a clever way so the money can be reused again and again to help more and more causes.
Let us tell you how it all started
A few years back, Bernard, an ex-police officer and Mick, previously a British Army paramedic and police officer (read more about them below), were chatting over a pint when it became clear they both had a burning desire to help others like them—those who had left the military or blue light services and were left feeling unsure of their next steps or unsupported in taking them.
As they brainstormed ideas and talked further, it was apparent that they shared a vision of transforming entire communities as the people in them are allowed to succeed, regardless of their background. Inclusivity was a high priority, so they decided not to restrict their offer to only these groups.
Circumstances should not stand in the way of a happy and comfortable life.
But they didn’t want to just dish out money and resources through charity, grants or loans. They wanted to be more savvy and find a way to make the money go further and do even more good. So, thanks to Dean's involvement as the first investor and his broad understanding of investment schemes, The Auxilium Society CIC was set up to create a unique philanthropic investment model, drawing on the collective savvy business and investing skills and knowledge. Later the trio met Ian, who was the perfect fit to join them and help spread the word so they could reach and help more people.
Our commitment to the Armed Forces Community
What exactly does Auxuilium do?
Glad you asked.
In a nutshell, we flip the investments we receive multiple times so they can go much further and do even more good.
What we don’t do is hand out money in the form of grants and donations, nor do we lend money, charge interest or receive kickbacks.
I know… the cogs are turning, and you likely have a slightly puzzled look on your face. So let us explain further…
We connect people to the help, support, assistance (Auxilium), or service they need. We purchase outcomes, find volunteers and promote projects.
So, for example, a family decides to fundraise the money to send a sick child overseas for treatment. It can take a while to raise the amount needed, which could be detrimental to the child's survival.
Auxillium provides the funds upfront so the child can benefit from the treatment immediately whilst the fundraising continues, and they pay us back as that money comes in.
So many people find themselves in these situations; they have an opportunity to do something, but they need money upfront. That money is likely to come back to them; often through grants and donations, but they just don’t have it to begin with.
Auxilium steps in, provides the money and recoups it from them at a later date so it can be used again.. and again… and again.
So, say you wanted to give £1000 to charity, you could invest that with us, still benefit your chosen charity PLUS over 5 years if flipped just once a year, it could do £5000 worth of good!
Or you can invest as little as £100, and if it got flipped 100 times in a year, that would be £10,000 of positive social impact on our communities!
Want a deeper explanation? No problem, simply book a call, and we’ll be happy to watch you experience the wow moment when you realise the potential of the Auxilium model.
