Find out about what we provide when you are unable to eat in the mess here. These benefits extend to:

Food & Incidentals Allowance: Living in self-catering facilities 3 miles or more away from your unit’s messing facilities? You may be able to claim a contribution towards the cost of your food and other daily expenses
Special Messing Allowance: If you live in Single Living Accommodation or equivalent and you don't have access to a Service mess or self-catering facilities, you could claim a contribution towards the extra cost of food and drinks
Reclaim the Daily Food Charge: If you pay the Daily Food Charge but weren't able to get a meal from a Service messing facility, you could claim back the cost
Meals Out Expenses: If your duties mean that you often have to purchase meals from commercial shops or restaurants instead of a Service messing facility, you could claim back some of the costs
