About Phoenix Heroes CIC

Phoenix Heroes CIC is a Community Interest Company based in Colchester, UK, that supports veterans by providing them with access to outdoor activities. The organisation was founded in 2018 by Gary Stockton, a veteran of the British Army, and it has since grown to become a respected provider of support to veterans in the UK.  Phoenix Heroes CIC is a not-for-profit organisation that provides support to veterans through outdoor activities such as fishing, football and allotment gardening. The organisation is committed to helping veterans overcome the challenges they face when transitioning from military to civilian life, and it achieves this by providing opportunities for veterans to come together and build a sense of community and belonging.  We also provide support to veterans who are struggling with mental health difficulties and finding the transition on leaving the Armed Forces a challenge.  Our activities are designed to promote physical and mental well-being, helping veterans to reconnect with nature and find a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Community

The impact of Phoenix Heroes CIC on veterans has been profound. The organisation provides a safe and supportive environment for veterans to come together and connect with each other. This has helped to reduce social isolation and promote a sense of belonging, which is essential for veterans who may feel disconnected from society after leaving the military.  The outdoor activities provided by Phoenix Heroes CIC are also effective at promoting physical and mental well-being. fishing and allotment gardening projects are all great ways of reducing stress and promoting relaxation, which is essential for veterans who may be struggling with mental health issues.

In addition, the activities provided by Phoenix Heroes CIC help veterans to develop new skills and interests, which can be invaluable when transitioning from military to civilian life. The organisation provides training and support for veterans who are interested in pursuing hobbies in outdoor activities such as fishing and allotment gardening, helping them to find purpose and fulfillment after leaving the military.  Our case studies reflect positive outcomes and our services are now recognised by many of the mainstream Charities and veteran support organisations.
