Description
We focus on helping our veterans that are trying to deal with mental health difficulties, our referrals process is very straight forward.
We are an Organisational Member of the National Counselling Society and we follow the NCS ethical framework for the counselling professions. Our professional therapist are members of the National Counselling Society and we are also partnered with PTSD Resolution. Our core members of the Phoenix Heroes team have conducted CPD accredited PTSD training courses and Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults. Our therapist have also either, served in the Armed Forces or the Police Force so they fully understand the difficulties that many of our veterans face.
The projects that we are supporting, really do make a difference. There is no pressure, we take a very relaxed approach so that people can make their own informal decisions to what type of involvement they wish to undertake.
If you feel you or someone you know needs a bit of support then please contact us.
About Phoenix Heroes CIC
Phoenix Heroes CIC is a Community Interest Company based in Colchester, UK, that supports veterans by providing them with access to outdoor activities. The organisation was founded in 2018 by Gary Stockton, a veteran of the British Army, and it has since grown to become a respected provider of support to veterans in the UK. Phoenix Heroes CIC is a not-for-profit organisation that provides support to veterans through outdoor activities such as fishing, football and allotment gardening. The organisation is committed to helping veterans overcome the challenges they face when transitioning from military to civilian life, and it achieves this by providing opportunities for veterans to come together and build a sense of community and belonging. We also provide support to veterans who are struggling with mental health difficulties and finding the transition on leaving the Armed Forces a challenge. Our activities are designed to promote physical and mental well-being, helping veterans to reconnect with nature and find a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
