Healthier Heroes CIC aims to reduce stigma around mental health support for military personnel, veterans and their families through education, training and community support.
Healthier heroes was established in 2018. we are directed by a husband and wife team with the forces close to their heart. andrew, the managing director and ex colour sergeant, served 16 years in the infantry. healthier heroes, have won awards for services within the community, successfully ran leadership development programmes and military resilience programmes in schools, colleges and businesses, across the north west. we have helped a multitude of veterans and their families, within the armed forces community, since we were established.
We promote that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation, to our staff, customers, suppliers, contractors and wider public.
We support the employment of veterans and recognise military skills and qualifications in our recruitment and selection process
We support the employment of Service spouses and partners and provide flexibility in granting leave for them before, during and after a partner’s deployment.
We support our employees who are members of the Reserve Forces and actively encouraging members of staff to become Reservists’s
We support our employees who are, or encourage others to become, volunteer leaders in military cadet organisations whilst supporting local military cadet units. We also recognise the benefits of employing cadets and ex-cadets within our workforce
We support Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal Day and Remembrance activities.
We offer a discount on our products or services to members of the Armed Forces community
