About Stagecoach
Stagecoach provides bus and rail transport services across the UK, carrying over 3 million passengers a day.
Our commitment to the Armed Forces Community
Stagecoach is one of the UK's largest employers of veterans, with over 2,500 ex-forces personnel among its 24,000 strong workforce. It transports around 2.5 million people daily and veterans are at the heart of this operation. Stagecoach regularly recruits veterans at CTP events and through nationwide agreements with DWP to fast-track veterans, reservists and their families into roles. Opportunities include driving, administration and cleaning, with entry salaries from £15,000 to £35,000 depending on location and role. Shift patterns are flexible to accommodate needs where possible. An extensive reservist and cadet policy allows additional leave for mobilisation and time off for spouses if required. Benefits include free travel for armed forces personnel, veterans and families over Armed Forces Day, Remembrance and Armistice weekends. A 100+ member armed forces employee network provides support and a space to share experiences. Armed forces 'champions' across the UK offer another layer of support. A veterans network helps influence business decisions and introduce new ways of working. Stagecoach is an Armed Forces Covenant member, recognising the value of serving personnel, reservists, veterans and families. Its structured work mirrors the military, easing transition. Competitive pay, generous holiday entitlements, pensions, free travel for family, discounts and family friendly patterns are offered. A special liveried support bus operates in the North West, attending events. Stagecoach is proud of its thousands of ex-forces staff. The Veterans Network builds on long-standing work to identify further ways to support veterans already employed and those looking to join. In summary, with military-style structure and over 2500 veterans employed, Stagecoach is committed to attracting and supporting the armed forces community.
