RBL supports anyone who has served more than one day in the Armed Forces and their families too. The support we provide falls into five key areas:
Financial & employment support - our Benefits, Debt and Money Advice (BDMA) service provides specialist advice and practical help to serving personnel and veterans struggling with unmanageable debt and financial hardship. We help people to navigate the complex benefits system and build financial resilience, and work closely with Forces Employment Charity to help veterans find a job that's right for them.
Physical & mental wellbeing – we support wounded, injured or sick serving personnel and veterans through the Battle Back Centre, which uses adaptive sports and adventurous activities to rebuild confidence, improve motivation and give back a sense of camaraderie. As part of our Recovery Programme, we are the sole charity partner for Team UK at the Invictus Games.
Care & independent living – we provide advice, support and advocacy to enable disabled and elderly veterans to live well and safely in their own homes. We also offer specialist support for carers of people living with dementia through our national network of Admirals Nurses.
Expert guidance - our specially trained advisors help hundreds of veterans and their families to access the benefits, claim the pensions, and receive the compensation they deserve.
Local community connections – across local communities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, over 700 membership branches provide telephone buddying, hospital visits and camaraderie aimed at countering social isolation and loneliness.
