Promoting the Armed Forces: Unicorn fire & safety solutions ltd will act as champions for serving and ex forces personnel. We will encourage a positive attitude towards our armed forces. Employment support to members of the Armed Forces Community: We will support any Reservists we employ by offering them additional days of (unpaid) annual leave in order to carry out their duties. We will offer work placements, focus days, to Veterans seeking employment. Offer additional (unpaid) absence to Cadet Force Adult Volunteers to help them carry out their training requirement. Be available to relevant forces charities and offer support for the Wounded, Injured and Sick. Communications, engagement and outreach: Provide or promote understanding by our teams on the Armed Forces Community. Promote the Armed Forces Covenant, and our support for the Armed Forces Community to our staff, customers/service users, supply chains and the wider public. Support or promote Armed Forces events such as Armed Forces Day/Week, the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance activities. Use the Covenant and Employer Recognition Scheme logos in your communications and marketing. Encourage an internal Armed Forces Network within our organisation, to enable staff members with an Armed Forces connection to meet and support one another and provide feedback to us as an organisation. Appoint an Armed Forces Champion (currently the managing director) within our organisation to act as a focal point for organising and promoting support for the Armed Forces Community. Support local Armed Forces charities where requested including supporting their fundraising activities. Civic responsibilities: We will take part in remembrance and other ceremonial activities. Any additional commitment the organisation wishes to make. We will offer friendship to all serving and ex service persons.
