Promoting the Armed Forces: Promoting the fact that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation to our colleagues, customers, suppliers, contractors and wider public. Promoting the Armed Forces Covenant, the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme and our support for the Armed Forces Community to our colleagues, customers, supply chain and the wider public. Using the Covenant and Employer Recognition Scheme logos across our business where practical. Publishing our Covenant pledge on a dedicated Covenant page on our website. Developing relationships and working collaboratively with other organisations supporting the Covenant and the Armed Forces Community in our region. Working with Veterans: Supporting the employment of veterans, recognising military skills and qualifications in our recruitment and selection process; working with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), where possible, to support the employment of Service leavers. Supporting Service Spouses & Partners: Considering remote/hybrid working during periods of deployment for service spouses where job role and business need are compatible. Reserves: Supporting our employees who are members of the Reserve Forces by offering up to 3 weeks of unpaid additional leave per year for annual Reserve Forces training where business needs allow. Cadet Organisations: Supporting our employees who are volunteer leaders in military cadet organisations and recognising the benefits of employing ex-cadets within the workforce. National Events: Supporting Armed Forces Day, the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance activities. Armed Forces Charities: Supporting employees with fundraising for Armed Forces charities and supporting colleagues who volunteer to assist.
