Streets Ahead works to address homelessness, offering support and housing solutions to vulnerable individuals.
2.1 We recognise the contribution that Service personnel, reservists, veterans, the cadet movement and military families make to our organisation, our community and to the country. We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant by: Promoting the Armed Forces: We will promote the fact that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation, to our staff, stakeholders, suppliers, contractors and the wider public. This will be achieved by clearly displaying that we have signed the Armed Forces Covenant on our website. Employment support to members of the Armed Forces Community: We support the employment of veterans and have registered with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), in order to establish a tailored employment pathway for Service Leavers. We will also advertise our vacancies on the Forces Families Jobs website Communications, engagement and outreach: We will promote Armed Forces Day and Remembrance Sunday to indicate to the communities we work in that we are an armed forces friendly organisation. Civic responsibilities: We will support any employees who wish to become or are serving as a reservist. We will offer support to our local cadet units, either in our local community or in local schools, where possible;
