Our commitment to the Armed Forces Community

The Armed Forces have served the nation with honor, courage, and sacrifice, deserving society’s support in return, particularly as military personnel transition out of service due to time served, injury, disability, or death. TAPinto, a signatory of The Armed Forces Covenant, plays a crucial role in this support by offering a universal portal that provides a wide range of services and resources for veterans, their families, and related organizations.

TAPinto’s platform is designed to help veteran-focused organisations, social enterprises, charities, and SMEs access resources and opportunities that might otherwise be unavailable to them. These include business advice, wellbeing and mental health programs, and training. Key partners, such as TROOPR and The Soldiers Arts Academy, connect the Armed Forces community with supportive organisations and the opportunities they offer. Civilian partners, including the Raindance Organisation, further extend these opportunities by offering training for veterans in creative roles within the entertainment industry.

TAPinto, along with ‘The Collective’—a network of companies, partners, and organizations—seeks to transform traditional charitable donations into impactful investments. This approach encourages individuals and organisations to become active Community Social and Impact Investors, thereby driving positive social change and financial returns. TAPinto’s portal facilitates this by enabling collaboration among veterans, CICs, charities, and businesses, helping them secure funding and support for their projects.

The platform also supports the measurement and reporting of social impact through frameworks like Social Return on Investment (SROI) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) monitoring. This outcome-driven approach, rooted in The Auxilium Society’s Community Social and Impact Investing (CSII) program, focuses on generating both social and financial value. By investing in outcomes rather than activities, CSII ensures that investments have a broad impact on communities and society, benefiting veteran-owned businesses, local communities, and economies.

In summary, TAPinto empowers the military community by providing access to resources, support, and investment opportunities that help veterans and their families build better lives and healthier communities. The platform fosters a collective approach to social impact, enabling collaboration and innovation in addressing the needs of the Armed Forces community.
