Abertay university is committed to supporting our armed forces community and to upholding the armed forces covenant.
Abertay is proud to sign up to the covenant to pledge to support members of the armed forces within the university community. We have been awarded the armed forces covenant employer recognition gold award due to the initiaives we run to support members of the armed forces community here at Abertay. this includes:
- engagement and outreach
- creative forces day
- armed forces day celebrations
We signed the uk armed forces covenant in 2016 as a pledge to support service personnel. this means we ensure that all staff and student members of the armed forces - including veterans, reserves and their families - are treated fairly and are not disadvantaged, as outlined in our reserve forces policy.
Our veterans champion Edward Simpson is our dedicated veteran and armed forces champion (vafc) who works within the veterans and armed forces champion network.
