With a long history of recruiting military veterans, AECOM currently has at least 200 veterans working in its UK&I operations. The company is proud to count its Chief Executive of Europe and India among that number. AECOM partners with organisations like the CTP, BuildForce and the Officers’ Association to actively seek veterans to join its team.

Salaries start around £30,000 depending on qualifications, experience and position. Employees work around 40 hours per week, with flexible hybrid work options available. An additional 15 days paid leave is provided for reservists.
By re-signing the Armed Forces Covenant and maintaining its Gold status with the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, AECOM continues to demonstrate its commitment to veterans. Ongoing career development is facilitated through the AECOM university. Veterans are supported in pursuing professional credentials or further education.
AECOM is redesigning its Armed Forces engagement plan, including amplifying its UK veteran community's voice through a new Armed Forces @ AECOM programme launching this year. AECOM also sponsors military-affiliated sports clubs and events like the Royal Engineers cycling team and veterans triathlon.
