Course Summary

Foundation Level - This foundational programme is designed for beginners who want to kickstart their career in artificial intelligence (AI). It provides learners with a basic understanding of AI and its popular tools and encourages hands-on experience via labs and projects. Through this programme, learners will not only gain foundational knowledge but also valuable hands-on experience that will showcase their skills. Plus, they will earn a globally recognised digital credential and an IBM certificate.

 

Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to: Have fundamental understanding of AI concepts and their historical evolution; Understand NLP and computer vision techniques with different use case scenarios; Can distinguish between types of machine learning and implement ML algorithms; Can execute AI projects from conception to deployment using tools like IBM Watson Studio; Can navigate AI ethics, ensuring the development of fair, transparent, and accountable AI systems; Can identify potential AI career paths and the skillsets required for various AI roles; Can utilize prompt engineering to enhance AI model interactions.

Costs

The programme is free to learners and fully remote.  

 

Assessments and Certification

Upon successful completion of the programme, each learner earns a globally recognized Artificial Intelligence Foundations Digital Credential verified by Credly and an IBM certificate.

After completing the AI fundamentals, you also have the opportunity to complete a 15 hour course in Python training through IBM. This is all self paced and can be completed in your own time.

 

What happens once I’ve completed the training?

Once you have gained the knowledge, skills and professional certification the next step for many people will be to apply that learning in a practical and commercial environment.
