Description
The Armed Services Advice Project (ASAP) offers specialised information, advice, and support to members of the Armed Forces Community in Scotland. This service is provided by the Scottish Citizens Advice Bureau Service and is funded by Poppyscotland. We collaborate closely with various organisations, both related to the Service and others, to provide assistance to individuals who reach out to us.
We can provide advice covering:
Benefits Talk to us about issues with your benefits, or get information on tax credits and child benefit.
Work We’ll help you address all types of workplace problems, including issues with discrimination or redundancy.
Debt and money Discuss how to better manage your debt or get money advice from our trained specialists.
Consumer We can guide you on making a complaint about faulty goods or bad service.
Family Access support for a variety of family issues, from getting child maintenance to ending a relationship.
Housing Get advice about mortgage difficulties, private sector tenancies or complaining about your neighbours.
Law and courts Speak to us for guidance on a variety of legal matters, from legal aid and human rights, to civil court procedure.
Health Find out how to make a complaint about healthcare, to understand your NHS patient rights or to discuss private healthcare.
Immigration Immigration issues can be serious and time critical. You can speak to our specialist immigration adviser for help.
