Drop in for Housing support & advice:

Housing & Advice We understand the rules. We provide our services users with consistent advice on local housing law and their entitlements in one to one interviews. We source secure sustainable accommodation for our clients. We want to provide housing ready for day of release where possible.

Debt, Benefit & Welfare Advice Escort to attend any necessary appointments-interviews for benefits can be daunting and sometimes advice has been inconsistent. We jointly attend these interviews, so we know they get the right support. We can help with administration, complete housing application and benefit forms and access rent in advance. We provide advice on benefits, we will be providing in-house training on substance misuse, education and employment.

Signposting We will signpost to other support groups - we have built up a wide-ranging network of organisations that can provide additional help. We take time to understand what each of our users need this goes well beyond housing. We use our knowledge, experience and networks to help put together a tailored support package.

Please email us for a referral form. The Criteria for referrals is outlined below:

Referral Criteria & Process

  • Client is homeless or at risk of homelessness.
  • Client is unable to raise a deposit by any other means.
  • Client must be in receipt of benefits or on a low income.
  • A client must provide information regarding any outstanding debt with the Department of Work and Pensions.
  • Client must be willing to undertake training or further education.
  • No active drug & alcohol misuse (ready for independent living).
  • No history of arson attacks.
  • Unable to assist sex offenders or those assessed as a high or very high risk of harm.
  • Resettling in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area or where accommodation is available.
  • Must be a veteran in need, have an association with the services and/or in the criminal justice system.

About Rhondda Veterans Hub

We primarily focus on finding suitable and reliable homes for veterans who are currently, or at risk of being, homeless. We also help veterans in a number of additional ways such as giving financial advice, help with finding employment, organising food vouchers, and support in other areas.
