Driver (097lw) – Class 1 HGV - Scotland - £32,700.00 + Benefits

Our client, who deliver products and practical solutions in the landscaping, ground maintenance, fleet management, agriculture and farming, are looking for a Driver (currently holding a Category C+E licence/ Class 1 HGV licence).

The driver if required to provide efficient and safe transport of products across the country in a professional and efficient manner. Able to travel for prolonged periods of time where overnight stays away from home will be necessary.

Key Responsibilities

·         Move machinery as required to support operational requirements. Working closely with the Transport Manager to ensure customer requirements are met.

·         Responsible for daily vehicle checks and notification of any faults.

·         Wash down equipment and prepare machinery for demonstrations and tournaments. 

·         Assist in general yard duties whilst on site, as per the requirements of the Branch Manager

·         Keep Licence and CPC up to date.

·         Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and customers by treating people with dignity and respect.

·         Take pride in your appearance and be presentable to our customers at all times.

·         To be responsible for the Health & Safety issues within your areas of control in accordance with

·         Company Health & Safety policies.

·         Attend any relevant training sessions to ensure you are fully equipped to perform your duties effectively.

·         To be flexible and assist your colleagues where necessary.

·         Be prepared for overnight stays away from home when necessary.

·         Be able to work alone and achieve the desired results on time and up to the standard required.

·         Assist in all other areas of the company as operational requirements demand.

Skills and Experience Required

·         Category C+E licence/ Class 1 HGV licence

·         Excellent verbal communication,

·         Flexible and adaptable to changing environment with the ability to be proactive and strategic in thinking and reasoning

·         Ability to multi-task

·         Team Player

·         Solution driven
