Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum dependent upon experience plus company car

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am -5pm, with flexibility required

Location: Sheffield (With travel to client sites across the UK)

What will you be doing?

The Fire Door Health, Safety and Compliance Trainer role will take direction from and is accountable to the Training Manager, liaising, co-ordinating and communicating with other departments within Marlowe Environmental Services Group as necessary.

The ideal candidate with likely be an experienced Supervisor / Project Manager and an experienced carpenter / joiner and have several years experience of installing, maintaining and repairing Fire Doors to industry, regulatory, and legislative standards.

• Presenting in-person and online training sessions
• Providing support as a technical lead within your product area to sales team
• Meeting /exceeding the standards for internal quality assurance and training delivery
• Specialising in a particular industry, keeps current on the activities, and needs of that industry by attending regular meetings, conferences, and seminars
• Maintaining an understanding of new educational and training techniques and method
• Delivering training and assessments
• Ensuring the promotion of inclusion and respect for equality and diversity
• Helping line managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either on a 121 basis or in groups

What do I need?

• Full Driving License to travel to client sites as required
• Comprehensive experience of working with fire doors (i.e. FD30, FD 60, Composite, etc)

• Multi - year experience of the installation, maintenance and repairs of Fire Doors ideally in commercial and domestic settings
• Experience of fire stopping materials in relation to fire door installations and repairs
• High-level proficiency of joinery works in relation to the installation and maintenance of fire doors
• Academic/professional training experience IS NOT A REQUIREMENT for this role. All Training will be provided

• Having training experience or willing to learn to become a trainer
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively deliver training to diverse audiences
