We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated Assistant Headteacher to join our leadership team at Hawksworth Wood Primary School. About the Role:
As the Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Teaching and Learning, you will play a pivotal role in driving high standards of education and ensuring that all our pupils receive the best possible learning experience. You will work closely with the Headteacher, senior leadership team, and staff to deliver a dynamic and forward-thinking teaching team that foster creativity, critical thinking, and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development and implementation of the school's curriculum.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across all subjects and year groups.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching practices and pupil outcomes.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development to staff, supporting them to deliver outstanding lessons.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving pupil achievement and progress.
- Support the Headteacher in shaping and executing the school's vision and strategic goals.
- Lead initiatives to ensure the school remains innovative and responsive to the needs of all learners.
- Ensure a strong and inclusive approach to teaching, including those with additional needs or from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Foster a positive and collaborative school culture where every pupil and staff member thrives.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A proven track record in delivering high-quality teaching and improving outcomes for pupils.
- Experience in leadership roles, preferably within primary education, and an understanding of effective school improvement strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and pupils.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design, assessment, and the latest educational practices.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and supportive learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team, parents, governors, and the wider community.
