Weighbridge Operator

Salary: £601 per week
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Working hours: 44.75 hours, Mon-Fri 7am to 4pm, plus alternate Sat mornings, 7am to 11.30am 

One minute you might be signing in a visitor, the next letting a driver know that their lorry is too heavy... You've got to be great at communicating in this ‘frontline’ Weighbridge Operator role at our waste facility near Wallingford, where recyclable materials are separated and sorted from tipped business waste. Based in the weighbridge office, next to the weighbridge (imagine a large set of scales that vehicles drive over so the weight can be recorded on a computer system), you’ll need to be tech-savvy too. What you’ll be doing as Weighbridge Operator
You will juggle various admin tasks, from identifying the customer account and material being transported and ensuring that the right details (e.g. vehicle registration) are recorded, to keeping the weighbridge balanced and reading zero.

What you’ll need
Excellent numeracy, literacy and computer skills are a must, and weighbridge experience is a bonus, but we'll give you all the training you need. You will need your own transport due to the rural site location.
