Senior Tender Planner (091dm) – Bowburn, Durham - £60,000 DOE
Are you an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in project planning?
We’re looking for a Tender Planner to join our client's team and play a crucial role in the successful delivery of bids and tenders.

Role Overview:
As a Tender Planner, you will be responsible for developing high-quality tender programmes and construction methodologies.
You will work closely with the Bid Manager to provide well-structured written quality responses, ensuring that our tender submissions are competitive and comprehensive.
Key Responsibilities:
•Review tender documentation to identify key project constraints and requirements.
•Attend site visits to gain an in-depth understanding of project conditions.
•Collaborate with subcontractors, designers, and stakeholders to refine programme details and introduce innovative solutions.
•Develop logic-linked tender programmes from first principles, incorporating a clear critical path and resource allocation.
•Create phasing plans, traffic management strategies, and methodology diagrams to support bid submissions.
•Work alongside the Bid/Technical Manager and tender teams to drive successful outcomes.
•Present programmes, logistical considerations, and preliminary plans at tender settlement meetings.
•Prepare labour and plant schedules tailored to each project.
•Contribute to risk and opportunity assessments.
•Participate in client interviews and mid-tender briefings with confidence.
•Support and mentor junior planning staff to enhance team capability.
What We’re Looking For:
•A relevant Civil Engineering qualification (HNC, Degree, or equivalent).
•Minimum of 5 years' site leadership experience in Civil Engineering.
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project (primary) and Primavera P6 (secondary).
•Experience planning Civil Engineering projects valued between £0.5m - £10m.
•A valid UK driving licence.
•Strong IT skills and the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
