INTERNAL VACANCY
This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.
We are seeking an enthusiastic team member to join our Education and Student Experience (ESE) team as part of the School of Law at the University of Nottingham. You would be part of our friendly and high-performing Administrative, Professional and Managerial (APM) team, providing support for ESE activity and processes within the School.
Working closely with our academics, and the rest of the Law ESE team, as well as ESE colleagues across the Faculty of Social Sciences, you will support our ESE processes and activities during the academic year: from induction and welcome, through timetabling, teaching, monitoring and quality assurance, to graduation and prizegiving.
You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to take the initiative and thrive in a fast-paced and varied environment. As someone who can quickly build strong collaborative relationships, you will be a key member of a team that is driving forward change and delivering service excellence.
What can we offer you? A supportive and friendly set of colleagues. Hybrid working arrangements with a blended approach of office and home working each week. As a University employee, you will have an excellent choice of benefits and rewards, including access to fitness and health facilities, staff discount and travel schemes, along with 27 days' holiday allowance (plus additional University closure days) and a highly attractive pension scheme.
Our success is delivered by our people. We believe that a diverse and supportive environment, bringing different perspectives to our work and allowing people to thrive, is the best platform for cutting-edge research and excellent teaching and operational support. We are seeking individuals from the widest possible range of talents and backgrounds, and we will appoint not just based on past achievements, but also on your potential for the future.
This role is a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2025 to cover internal secondment and maternity leave. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered. Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
