A fantastic opportunity has become available to join the Digital Intranet Servicing team as Software Engineer. This is a strategic role mainly managing API, Microservices in Digital Intranet Servicing area - Maintenance, new developments, migrations, and integration of new capabilities.
We are a team of skilled analysts and developers and are looking for a technical expert who will lead on product development, enhancement, major incidents, engage with key business stakeholders, deliver ideas and improvements as Intranet Servicing evolves and bring others on the journey with training and mentorship.

The difference you'll make:
- Developing new components, maintaining and evolving existing ones according to the team priorities and product roadmap
- Managing end-to-end from software design and development up to release to the customers, including deployments and implementation of automated tests
- Taking responsibility of the software delivery by ensuring quality and scope expectations are met
- Liaising with Product Owners and Corporate Management teams within International & Transaction Banking business
What you'll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
- Experience in API development (IBM API Connect, Open API, OAuth2)
- Extensive experience as a Software Engineer focusing on Java and Spring Boot
- Broad front end development experience in Angular, html/css, javascript, typescript
- Experience with Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions (build and manage pipelines, sonar scanner)
- Experience of microservice architecture (Kubernetes, Openshift)
- Working knowledge of agile software development practices (Unit testing, TDD, CI/CD)
It would also be nice for you to have:
- NodeJS Development, Dynatrace knowledge
- Experience using AWS platform
- PostgreSQL and/or mongodb
What else you need to know:
This is a permanent role based in our Unity Place office, Milton Keynes.
We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
