Description
Leisure breaks offered by the organisation are tailored to accommodate various age groups and interests. These breaks encompass diverse experiences such as battlefield tours in Europe, track day adventures at Brands Hatch, country activity weekends in Buckinghamshire and Scotland, visits to the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park, and short stays at the Union Jack Club in London, often coinciding with Royal Parties. Ranging from two to seven days, these breaks offer much-needed fun, relaxation, and opportunities for making new friends. The organisation also considers including partners or carers when it's beneficial. Guests share their stories of service, injuries, and rehabilitation, reconnecting with the camaraderie and banter they once knew.
In recent years, the organisation has been taking groups of beneficiaries, often with their partners, on respite holidays to a charming private farmhouse in Majorca. Here, guests can unwind and temporarily set aside their injuries, engaging in activities like go-karting, horse riding, kayaking, painting, and walking. These breaks provide a welcome escape from the routine of rehabilitation for both the injured service personnel and their partners. They foster the sharing of problems and experiences, the forging of lasting friendships, and a reduction in feelings of isolation.
