Cognizant Insurance Consulting
Cognizant's Insurance Consulting unit is seeking talented consultants with extensive business analysis and consultative experience of executing large scale business change and IT solutions for General Insurance UK & European Insurance clients. This role provides an opportunity to join a rapidly growing, high energy and entrepreneurial team working with leading UK & Europe based Insurance clients.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of Technology area processes, stakeholders, architecture and system functionality.
- Lead on the elicitation and documentation of a prioritized set of target state requirements (functional and non-functional) to support design, working with architects, stakeholders, PMs and service providers.
- Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of business area processes, stakeholders and the core business system functionality.
- Lead on / support the development of domain level business architectures and the adoption of simplified operating models, business processes and applications.
- Support the definition of the case for change and provide input into the business case and support implementation to ensure that the change is embedded and benefits realized.
- Continuous engagement with and management/influencing of stakeholders and customers, typically up to Enterprise leader level. Production of a stakeholder management artefacts (i.e. engagement maps, communication plans. briefing papers).
- Investigate, analyze, review, define and document the requirements. Produce high quality deliverables by selecting and applying the most appropriate methods, tools and techniques and following agreed standards for the selected delivery methodologies.
- Support the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring requirements are properly understood and met with verifiable traceability between requirements, solution and testing.
- Collaborate on the design and selection of solutions within agreed architectures and standards
- Coordinate the creation of user scenarios and support testing with the allocated users to enable the definition of UAT test scripts and sign off.
- Develop / provide input to project plans, resource plans and the selection / adoption of appropriate delivery methodology e.g. waterfall, agile. Identify and regularly review resources required for programmes/projects, escalate resource shortfalls, and provide recommendations for resolution. risk, issues and dependency management.
- Produce and maintain other project / programme documents and materials, ensuring they are fit for purpose.
- Effectively performance manage allocated, and project assigned resources, ensuring effective coaching, development, allocation, communications and talent management.
- Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in business analysis methods and tools. Proactively contribute to and support a Community of Practice.

- Contribute to practice activities such as Capability Development, Knowledge Management, Proposition or Solution Development
- Develop focused industry 'points of view' or 'white papers'
- Coach and Mentor members of the team
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience on industry specific solutions such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Acturis.
- Formal Business Analysis (ISEB), Insurance domain accreditation
- Good experience working in Data drive projects.
Industry Experience:
Deep experience of working within the Insurance industry or Insurance consulting, preferably within the General Insurance or Broker sectors.
