Description

Salary: Competitive, including shift allowance
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Working hours: Shift system of 4 days or nights on followed by 4 days or nights off (12.5 hours). Your average working week will be 43.87 hours, starting your day shift at 6.45am and finishing at 7.15pm; and night shift, 6.45pm to 7.15am

Keen to build on your 3 years+ experience working in an incinerator facility or an alternative industrial facility overseeing process controls, good at motivating others and used to shift work? Then here's a job for a proactive and observant individual at the clinical waste incinerator near Heathrow, where pre-packed hazardous, health care and clinical waste is securely and safely destroyed. What you’ll be doing as Waste Facility Operator
Working closely with the supervisor and chemist on your shift, you will make sure that the incinerator is running safely and efficiently. Jobs to keep you busy as Waste Facility Operator include vital checks, including monitoring waste levels and emission data, and following 'burn' lists.

You'll also test plant and equipment, arrange contractors and organise repairs.  

What you'll need
• An understanding of SCADA or alternative process control environments (AVEVA, Tatsoft, LLC)
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel 

What’s desirable
• Experience of working within environmental permit regulations
• CEMs and weighbridge operations
