About the role
As a BI Analyst, you will be responsible with the development of analytical products that are easy to use and help colleagues make better and faster business decisions by using accurate, strategic, trustworthy data assets. Collaborate with a cross functional team to validate data, develop analytical models and analytics UIs that are aligned with the business needs.
You will be responsible for
• Participate and contribute to user workshops to understand user needs and assess feasibility of analytical products builds.
• Run data discovery to investigate the state and maturity of the data assets that need to be used.
• Build scalable data models that satisfy the analytics product development needs.
• Design and build user interfaces that are performant, interactive, easy to use and assist users with decision making.
• Support and train users through onboarding and upskilling journey of using analytical products. Experience relevant for this job:
• Experience developing robust analytical products that are actionable and scalable.
• Expertise of using Hive, Spark, Teradata or other SQL technologies.
• Strong knowledge and experience of using business intelligence and visualisation tools such as Tableau.
• Comfortable developing ETL frameworks and processes for automation using software such as Alteryx, Knime, Dataiku.
• Good understanding of the full data lifecycle and understanding of typical enterprise concerns around data platforms (Governance, Quality, Security).
• Experience creating outputs for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manipulate, analyse and synthesise data using different sources to create customer led, data driven products and high impact presentations.
• Desired experience with Python, GitHub, data orchestration tools (Oozie, Airflow) for data wrangling and building data pipelines.
• Curiosity towards AI assisted analytics and the opportunities of integrating AI within data & analytics.
• Highly numerate with a university degree of 2:1 or higher in a quantitative discipline or relevant experience.
