About the role
An exciting new role within our Property Function! Tesco is recruiting for a new Estate Planning Program Manager, Tesco are looking for someone to play a pivotal role in design, development and implementing a world class estate planning framework and strategy to a highly automated and technologically sophisticated engineering function. Through my leadership, focus and control of our planned maintenance strategy, control of stock holding, auditing and management of our CMMS system you'll drive increased reliability, availability of equipment and a streamline approach to critical spares across the estate.

You will be responsible for
- Establishing effective relationships and communicating clearly with my partners.
- Work with my central automation and site engineering manager peers building their SME knowledge Into the proactive maintenance plan.
- Playing a key part of the automation engineering team within Tesco for the UK and you will contribute to setting strategy and direction long term.
- Designing and implementing an engineering planning strategy which covers all Automation In Tesco's most technologically advanced distribution and fulfilment centres. this should group together specific equipment types allowing for efficiencies in scale wherever required.
- Controlling and auditing of the proactive maintenance strategy will protect and insulate the business against all premature failure, gaps in knowledge and equipment becoming unmanageable or obsolete.
- Designing and implementing an audit program ensuring compliance to key metrics, collect and present data gathered through our CMMS system and showcase this to the business for direction to be set against.
- Develop tools and software to track, monitor, regularise and trend performance on a like-by-like basis.
- Liaising with my peers closely identifying and using data to guide the long-term capital Investment program, advising on standard methodology and accurate application wherever required.
- You will be SME on planning and scheduling principles and work shopping, with an ability to tailor approaches to differing problems on a case-by-case basis.
- Working with our vendors and contractors ensuring we cover all engineering and maintenance requirements building efficiency, reducing bottlenecks and growing availability at every stage of the process, to budget and timescale whilst advising and guiding on critical spares requirements.
- Managing my budgets effectively and to target, always being cost conscious.

You will need
- Previous experience in the planning scheduling or auditing of large multi disciplined engineering functions at a leadership level
- A deep understanding of CMMS systems, project management, auditing, collection and presentation of data and standard methodology. The ability to tailor solutions to individual problems along with the influencing skills to ensure correct consensus.
- Strong stakeholder management and budget control experience
- Experience managing large stores and parts inventories.
- Extensive program or project management experience.
- Advanced experience working with Excel, presenting data proficiently using SQL regularly.
- The demonstrated ability to work dynamically, lead remotely and contribute heavily to the setting and implementation of business wide strategy and long term planning along side the Automation SLT.
