Lancashire Constabulary's Fleet Management Team is seeking a Fleet workshop Assistant to be based at Hutton Headquarters. The site is accessible by public transport and there is also free car parking on site.
The purpose of this role is:
- To check the workshop on a daily basis daily and take action to keep all work areas clean and tidy. That all areas of the building are kept clean and that access routes are clear and free from hazards.
- To ensure waste and refuse within the workshop, car park and outbuildings is stored, disposed of and recycled in accordance with force policy and environmental legislation.
- To transport fleet vehicles in and out of the workshop as necessary, and ensure the car park is used appropriately, flagging up unauthorised vehicles to the Workshop Team Leaders / reception staff.
- To assist in annual stock audits.
- To help to maintain a clear and orderly store, adequately referenced and operating within Health and Safety and security regulations.
- To Promote and comply with Lancashire Constabulary's policies on equal opportunities and health and safety both in the delivery of service and the treatment of others.
- To carry out any other duties which are consistent with the nature, responsibilities and grading of the post.
- To work with customers and colleagues to ensure delivery of effective communication and management of expectations. Adopting a customer focussed approach.
- To be responsible for improving your performance by participating in the Professional Development Review (PDR) process with your manager.
