Lancashire Constabulary's Safer Roads Unit is seeking two Safer Roads Officers to be based at Hutton Headquarters. The site is accessible by public transport and there is also free car parking on site.
The purpose of this role is to deliver professional, efficient and effective administrative support in relation to all aspects of non-recordable motoring offences, including officer issued and safety camera notices, reports for process and diversionary courses. You will promote road safety, reducing those killed and injured on Lancashire's roads and where necessary bring offenders to justice.
Some of the tasks in this role involve: dealing with members of public by telephone, emails and correspondence in relation to general enquiries, and enquiries around fixed penalty notices issued, in addition to courses. Other tasks covered by the role are the processing of admissions and nominations in relation to driving offences, preparing of files for court, registering cases and laying charges with the court.
