Description
A new program called the Female Veterans Transformation Programme aims to support servicewomen from the Royal Navy, Army, and RAF. The program seeks to make female veterans more visible and address the challenges they face. It is managed by the Women’s Royal Army Corps Association and Cobseo, funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust. The program will develop a toolkit to address various needs of female veterans, including healthcare, financial advice, employment services, and combating loneliness. It also aims to collaborate with veteran-facing organisations to provide tailored support. This initiative is a response to research showing that female veterans often feel their needs are not adequately met by existing services. It seeks to bring about lasting change and improve support for female veterans, addressing their under-representation in veteran services. The program is supported by various stakeholders, including government officials and veteran organisations.
