Description

Disturbance Expenses are available to individuals who need to relocate due to their Service duties. Eligibility is determined based on factors like service commitment type and completion of Phase 1 training. This allowance covers expenses related to moving to a new home, such as preparing the current accommodation for handover, mail redirection, appliance installation, satellite/cable equipment installation, and insurance for stored items. Additionally, a portion of this allowance can be used for purchasing new school uniforms for eligible children. The amount received depends on the type of accommodation and location, with different rates for the UK and overseas. This allowance cannot be claimed when joining or leaving the Services, except in specific circumstances. Claims should be submitted 45 days before the expected move date through JPA or by completing JPA Form F018 if JPA access is unavailable. Detailed information can be found in JSP 752 Chapter 12, Section 1.
