Description
The Hampshire Home for Veterans provides housing and assistance to ex-Service personnel who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Residents must have served in the British Armed Forces. They have homes in Gosport, offering supported accommodation with 16 bedspaces, including medium to high support. The key worker helps create a tailored support plan and facilitates access to various services like counseling, drug/alcohol support, and more. The homes are near amenities and bus services. Residents can access training for independent living and stay for up to 2 years. Assistance is also provided for transitioning to their own homes. Mentors & Befrienders from the local community offer support during this transition. Referrals are accepted from various agencies, and self-referral is possible. The organisation also runs other support services, including for young people, mental health, and learning disabilities.
