Mechanical & Electrical Technician
Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a career-minded individual to join our Camberley team as an Electrical and Mechanical Technician, your role will be to perform a range of assigned front-line maintenance/operational activities on our sewage pumping stations in Camberley Surrey. This will include planned and preventative maintenance of sewage pumping stations to support the operation of our assets.
On a day-to-day basis, you will receive your “workload” and will also be answering emergency alarms. You will be working as part of a team but may also be alone which highlights the importance of our high health and safety standards.
The role also requires you to take part in a 1 week in every 6 weeks out of hours emergency standby rota, for which you receive additional payments.
What you should bring to the role
- ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering
- A valid driving license is essential
- Having previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship, with an 18th Edition qualification beneficial
- Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues are crucial
- Be a time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems ideally working in a “true multi-skilled” capacity
- Be a self-motivated individual
- Take Ownership of responding quickly to faults, being curious to comprehend the problem fully, and identifying the best solution to resolve it the first time
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to interact with the team
- Deliver exceptional service through a passionate and positive approach, taking accountability for your role while working accurately and flexibly within a busy team
- Be a team player – We are one team, and our end goals are the same
- Proactive – take the lead on recommendations and improvements around the site and convey them effectively
Base Location - Camberley - GU15 3YL.
38 hours per week Monday-Friday. 7:30 am - 3:36 pm.

- Offering base salary up to £39,000 per annum plus standby & overtime opportunity increasing earning by potential £8,000 - £10,000
